Who will vote for Jim Long?

I know everyone was very excited with the march yesterday, but am still surprised that the national media has failed to report on Jim Long's extraordinary comments about immigrants in Limerick.
Cllr Long, who has [...]suggested to German TV that it might be time for some immigrants to go home, has again defended his remarks, saying: "I'd rather be called a racist than a traitor."

Just when you thought it was safe to vote FG.

Glad to see that outrage has arisen, though I suspect that the comments from some saying that Long is only repeating what people really feel is sadly true.  Limerick has such a large Eastern European population, that has worked so hard in the county, that one hopes they move to integrate into a vital and long-lasting part of the community.

There are signs of this, such as Polish local election candidates (for FF?).  Here is an opportunity for Limerick to be a poster child for Irish muli-cultural integration, to become a good news story.  Instead, a stupid local councillor spreads his ignorant, prejudiced prattle to a foreign audience that only too enjoys smugly looking down their nose at the Irish (THAT'S YOU GERMANY).
